We are currently seeking a Senior Product Manager, LifeSciences to join the LifeNet Health team in our Virginia Beach, VA location. This position requires up to 50% travel.
As a Senior Product Manager, LifeSciences you would provide the leadership to develop and execute plans to drive the development of platform and product category strategies/roadmaps and successful global commercialization of LS products and technologies to support the delivery of defined business objectives. Manage the global marketing functions as they relate to assigned product lines and meet/exceed business plan strategic and financial objectives. Drive new product development and business development functions for the LifeSciences Division.
You would be expected to perform all tasks assigned to you, including but not limited to:
Develops, implements and monitors platform and product category strategies to achieve established financial goals. Scope includes assessment of market trends, customer needs, reimbursement trends, research application considerations, global competitive landscape, and internal operational efficiencies.Develops and delivers effective market development strategies and programs for building the LifeSciences business for LifeNet Health, inclusive of, educational events, and promotional activities for research product applications with direct and OEM partners, sales force personnel, researchers and supporting internal and external staff, as well as contracting personnel pharma, CRO and other research locations.Establishes and manages relationships with key opinion leaders to drive product development and launch activities, clinical pipeline, reimbursement strategies, field training initiatives, and market awareness related to the LifeSciences Division.Manages all sector commercialization projects within platform including growth, cost containment/reduction, quality, and sourcing projects to ensure business objectives are achieved.Develops and nurtures Direct and OEM partner relationships to drive new product development and global distribution performance to include; education, training, business agreements and strategic marketing plans.Implements marketing strategy and executes against marketing plan, including coordination of global launches with internal and external stakeholders. Works with cross functional teams to develop accurate annual franchise forecasts and market demand, evaluate market changes and execute LEAN process improvements.Works closely with R&D teams to support new product development and launch efforts. This includes validating new product design, functionality and clinical applications with customers and the direct field sales organization and/or OEM/Alliance partners as well as developing marketing and sales plans.Creates presentation materials for executive-level decision makers to gain approval for franchise strategies, goals, and objectives.Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree - Business, Science or Related Fields.7 years minimum experience in Product Management with majority of experience gained with manufacturers of medical products ideally within the broadly defined field (e.g. allografts; biologics; orthopedics; sports medicine; wound/reconstructive surgery; spine or trauma environments).4 years minimum experience in development and marketing of new products. Must have experience of a formal product design process based on the 'stage gate' concept. Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Excel with ability to analyze data.Effective communication and presentation skills required to effectively communicate to superiors, direct reports, peers and cross-functional groups.Ability to multi-task and prioritize. Manage multiple product lines with competing priorities and deadlines.Strong leadership skills. Ability to manage with and without authority, gain buy-in from various audiences. Preferred
Masters of Business Administration (MBA) with a related specialization.4+ years of Life Sciences experience within a medical device, pharmaceutical or related organization. 3 years of direct personnel management experience. Experience managing direct reports or serving as a team lead on a project where assessment of talent and performance management of others was required. 2 years' experience with international marketing.
