We are currently seeking a PER DIEM Research Services Technician to join the LifeNet Health team in our Research Triangle Park, NC location. Hours for this position vary and require on-call availability.
As a Research Technician I, you would be participating in the planning, executing, documenting and reporting of research, product development and validation efforts. Performing testing of cell or tissue samples. Activities may include production and quality control of research grade products and medical prototypes
You would be expected to perform all tasks assigned to you, including but not limited to:
Perform experiments as outlined in experimental designs.Assists in developing protocols and experimental designs required to support assigned research, product development, manufacturing, and validation initiatives. Analyzes and summarizes collected data into product specifications sheets, associated documentations, and effective technical reports. Assists in the development of new products, technology, or assays, including associated process/equipment design and optimization. Assists in the development, writing, and modification of SOPs and formsMaintains inventories according to established procedures. Maintains research processing suite to include decontamination and disinfection of floors, tables, and wall surfaces, proper disposal of biohazardous materials and maintenance of equipment according to written procedures.Maintains records and lab operations in compliance with LifeNet Health policy/procedures and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP). Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or related fieldMinimum 1 year Related work experience in a R&D laboratory focused on biology, chemistry, or tissue engineeringProficient in Microsoft OfficePreferred Qualifications:
Previous experience with Tissue Banking, Tissue Research, Medical Device or other related industryWorking Conditions:
Subjected to human tissue and associated hazards and biohazards, restrictive movement and attire, moderate temperature changes, exposure to sharp instruments and loud noise and power tools.
