Job Description:

Responsibilities
Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:
Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systemsProvide system administration for RHEL/CentOS 5,6,7 to include user account administration, installation, and configurationAnalyze system logs and identify potential issues with computer systemsIntroduce and integrate new technologies into existing data center environmentApplying operating system updates, patches and configuration changesInstalling and configuring new hardware and softwareUser account management and user access controlsProduce and maintain standard operating procedures for use across all infrastructure environmentsResponsible for documenting the configuration of the systemSystem performance tuningInstall and configure infrastructure related software (e.g. DNS, LDAP, Linux repositories for patching and updates, etc.)Performing daily tasks within physical and virtual environmentsInstall and configure infrastructure applications and support integration with critical application environmentMaintain an existing operating environment consisting of physical and virtual Linux and Windows servers/workstations and the virtual environment supporting themProvide response, troubleshooting and resolution of problems as well as communication and tracking of status updatesServer/workstation builds in virtualized and physical environmentsProactively track and manage availability, performance and capacity across the environment inclusive of infrastructure and servicesAssist with in-person and over the phone service desk supportRigorously follow Configuration Management processProvide 24x7 customer support by participating in after hours on-call rotation and occasionally perform scheduled maintenance and upgrades during evening or weekend hours

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI ClearanceCurrently possess DoD 8570 certification at IAT level II, (e.g. Security+ CE)Applicable software and/or hardware training and certifications related to the IT environment8+ years of IT experience as a Systems Administrator5+ years of recent experience installing, configuring and deploying Linux based operating systemsMust be proficient in Linux with in-depth knowledge of OS installation, security hardening, and maintenanceExperience with VMware virtualization technologiesExperience troubleshooting networks and systemsLinux performance tuning and troubleshooting, identifying and resolving contention in CPU, memory, networking, disk I/O, etc.Familiar with the fundamentals of a scripting language for automation tasks and deployments (e.g. Bash Shell, PowerShell, or Python)Integration and implementation of various services: LDAP, NFS, Bind, Apache and other core technologiesThorough understanding of fundamental network and internet protocols (e.g. DNS, HTTP/HTTPs, and TCP/IP)

Desired Qualifications:
Bachelors DegreeRHCSA/Linux+ certificationExperience automating system tasks using Bash, Python or other scripting/programming languageExperience with Windows desktop operating systems: Windows 7/10Experience with Windows server operating systems: Windows Server 2008 r2/2012 r2/2016Experience with Dell and HP desktops and HP, Dell, and Cisco UCS serversExperience working with configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible, Chef or Puppet)Familiarity with DevOps methodologyComfortable with the full lifecycle of performing requirements analysis, functional analysis, system design, system integration and test
